Through shaping a friendly atmosphere for art, we want to improve the image of the region. We strengthen the position of artists, including folk artists and craftsmen of Malopolska and Myslenice.

About us:

The Foundation was established in August 2008. From the beginning we had helped artists, folk artists and craftsmen in the promotion of creativity through many projects.

We support creators in the continuation of the traditional handicrafts, as well as those who combine different styles and influences. Folk and ethnodesign derive from the folk art. Thanks to the promotional activities we want to emphasize the role of people, who are preserving specific patterns and techniques.

We work with artists. ARTS Foundation shows the artist and his work as a unity.

We prepare photographic documentations and film documentaries about artists.

We care about the preservation of cultural heritage of Małopolska, Poland and Europe.

We get the information to the local authorities and patrons of culture. We promote art in public Space; the Internet plays an important part in this process.

Where do we act?

The region of Malopolska, where two distinctive and completely separate cultures - Krakowiacy and Highlanders - exist, has a specific, unique and varied folklore. Thus, folk art continues to grow, as compared to other regions of Poland and Europe. Therefore it's important to promote the art and folk artists, who create arts in conformity with the heritage endemic to Malopolska.

"Przemawia wieloma językami. Mówi językiem gliny i minerałów, powietrzem przelatującym przez trzcinowe mury. Dzban z wypalanej gliny: nie kładź go na wystawie rzadko spotykanych obiektów. (...) Jego piękno jest związane z wodą, którą w sobie nosi i z pragnieniem, które gasi (...). To nie jest obiekt do kontemplacji, ale do podawania napoju. (...) Gliniany dzban, kosz z wikliny(...), piękne przedmioty. Ich piękno jest nieodłączne od ich funkcji: są piękne, ponieważ są użyteczne."
